Are you looking for a practical kitchen helper that will make cooking easier for you? We have a great tip for you - a kitchen glove sewing set with a Christmas pattern, which you can find in the Kitchen glove set category.

You will find everything you need in the set : from themed patterned cotton fabric, to sewing thread, the necessary stiffening, to free cutting. Sewing a mitten is not difficult, and with a self-sewn helper, cooking will be easy.

Christmas mittens are stylish, but above all practical. It will protect us from painful finger burns from a hot plate or a hot baking pan. And thanks to the Christmas pattern, you can create a real festive atmosphere in the kitchen at home. Cooking will become fun even for those who hate baking Christmas cookies, and your vanilla rolls will suddenly be raised to heavenly heights.

Let's start sewing a Christmas mitten together, so that we have plenty of time to cut out and glue cookies.

For the glove we will need:

How to sew a mitten:

  • We will need 4 parts of cotton and 2 parts of batting for the glove. Place a paper cut on the fabric and batting, outline and cut out.
  • Place batting on the reverse side of the upper fabric and sew together at the edge. Place both prepared parts face to face on top of each other and sew. We cut the seam and cut it into round pieces for sewing, so that the fabric aligns better when turned.
  • Place the inner parts of the mittens face to face, sew them together and cut them into round pieces for sewing.
  • Turn both parts of the glove inside out , insert them into each other and straighten them.
  • We pin the bottom edge together and can help sew in the edge so that the slanted satin strip can be sewn in better.
  • On the reverse side along the edge, we pin and sew a hemming strip, which we turn to the wrong side, bend and decoratively stitch in the edge.

And we're done and we can get down to Christmas baking. Sew a mitten not only for yourself, but also as a small gift for your mother, sister or friend. And when you invite them to bake Christmas cookies, surprise them with a small gift and top it off with homemade eggnog.
